We are pleased to announce the birth of Macie Grace McNamara. She was born on July 19th at 11:23 p.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 20" long. She has lots of dark hair and reminds us of Tyler as a newborn.

Her older brothers and sister can't get enough of her. They are super excited to have a new little baby in the house and are good helpers around the house. I can't believe we have 4 children now! We feel so blessed to have such sweet and precious children in our home.

We have had lots of help during the last week. Brian's mom was here for about 5 days and then my mom is here now helping. We also get Brian's stepmom for about a week too after my mom leaves. We appreciate all the help and support from our families, friends and neighbors. Thanks so much! We will post more pictures soon!

Update on our three (soon to be four)

On March 21, 2009 Austin was baptized! It was such a special day for our family. We had so many of our family come into town for Austin's baptism. We appreciate all that made the trip to help us celebrate this important step in Austin's life. Austin has been preparing for baptism for many months and was really excited when he woke the morning of his baptism. He told me that he was a little nervous, but mostly excited to be baptized by his dad. He is the oldest child AND the oldest grandchild on both sides of the family, so he is a great example to those who are younger than him (as well as those of us who are old too :)). Not only did his grandparents, great-grandparents, aunts and uncles come; but he also had 4 cousins from Las Vegas make the trip. The cousins had so much fun together playing, swimming (the water was still pretty cold), eating and just being together. I love to see my children around their cousins. It's so fun to watch. Ellie and Kaylee were attached at the hip and had fun trying all the hand me down clothes that Ellie brought Kaylee. Wish they lived down the street so we could play everyday! We missed the Florida and Virgina cousins; but we cherish those times when we are all together.

Ryan, Ellie, Austin, Kaylee, Spencer and Luke (trying to escape)

Tyler is M.I.A in this picture

Austin & Brian

Our litte graduate

On Wednesday, May 20th Tyler will graduate from Miss Arnold's kindergarten class. I love this picture of him. Just his smile alone makes me happy! He has LOVED school this year and LOVED Miss Arnold and her aide, Mrs. Adams. Tyler has really matured during the school year. He has soared in handwriting, phonograms and reading. He has made some great friends and memories too. Look for more pictures after graduation actually happens! We love you Tyler James!

What can I say about Kaylee....

well, life is never boring with her around! She is talking up a storm. Loves to copy what everyone else is saying or doing. For example: she now says, "I go potty" but she is a little confused on the proper technique for girls. She likes to stand, not sit. I think she has watched her brothers too much (maybe they need to work on shutting the door :)). She opens the lid, pulls up her shirt, pushes her tummy out and stands there for a couple seconds, then she slams down the lid and says "all done". She is not interested in sitting down at all. I am not even going to attempt potty training until after this new baby comes. For the time being she is content doing it her way!

And she likes to go in the "wa-wa". We went swimming for the first time on Thursday afternoon. She couldn't wait to get her swimsuit on. I told her to pose for a picture and she said "cheese" and then stands still for about 2 seconds and then comes running over to me saying "I see". She wants to see herself in the camera. I was able to get at least one picture without her running towards me. What a cheesy grin! She is such a sweet girl and is always willing to give out hugs and kisses to almost everyone she meets. We love you Kaylee!!

#4 - Baby Girl in uerto

No new pictures of her, but she sure is an active one. She often keeps me awake at night when I am trying to fall asleep with her aerobatics. I am now 29 weeks and feeling more and more uncomfortable, hot and tired. The boys like to feel her kick (especially Austin) and Kaylee likes to kiss my tummy. She even pulls up her shirt and puts her tummy on my tummy. It's pretty funny. Not sure if she thinks she has a baby in her tummy too or what. Of course she has no idea what is coming in the next couple months, but she is in for a surprise! She won't be the baby anymore.

Even though we are utterly exhausted at the end of each day, we feel blessed to have such sweet little children in our home. They constantly amaze us with their unconditional love, boundless energy and desire to learn. Brian and I feel grateful for the memories made and the times when we are all together. It's our own "little piece of heaven".

GO PINK!!!

So a few weeks ago I had my ultrasound and we were told we are having another little girl. He is such a big help and a good example to Tyler and Kaylee. He has such a big heart. He is always writing little notes to me. Just yesterday when I was sick on the couch he brought over a note that said, "I hope you feel better. I love you mom." I smiled real BIG when I read it.

He will be baptized next month and is looking forward to this special day. His Grandpa & Grandma McNamara were visiting and he also invited two friends from school to play mini-golf. We headed out around 3:30 to Golfland for a little game of mini-golf. We all had fun playing golf...it was interesting with 4 active boys (Tyler included), but we survived! Afterwards we came home and had pizza and cake. We are very excited and feel blessed as we anticipate another little one. The boys are excited (Kaylee has no clue) and have definite ideas about the gender (Austin wants a sister and Tyler a brother) and have even starting suggesting names. When we told the kids about the new baby, one of the first things out of Austin's mouth was "Oh great, now I have to take care of three kids!" It was so cute. He really does help out a lot with Tyler and Kaylee. I have been so sick for about 5 or 6 weeks and he is always worried about me and asks what he can do. I am now 17 weeks along and feeling better than I was during December and January. Here is an ultrasound taken at around 11-12 weeks.

On Sunday I decided to experiment with pigtails in Kaylee's hair. She actually held still and let me play. Her hair is getting so long and I love the curls so I usually don't put it up, but I think she looks really cute. She is such a girly girl.

Family Pictures

I have been really bad at blogging lately....sorry! Nichole, a friend of mine, took our family pictures on Thursday. I think they turned out really good considering the fact that Tyler was really sick and we had to carry him around the park. Lots of candy was collected from Wednesday's "trunk or treat" (that was hosted by our church) and of course on Halloween night. Kaylee had a fistful of candy in one hand and her treat bag in the other....she was not going to let go! Austin and Tyler couldn't wait to get home and count their candy and sample their yummy treats.

Now that Halloween has come and gone the focus is on Christmas. 18 days and counting until the lights come on (as of November 5).

Check out our website to see an example of the animated Christmas lights. He knew he couldn't wear them this way so he came up with a creative way to "fix" his jeans. TAPE!! Of course!! I thought it was a very CLEVER idea and very CUTE too. The problem-solving abilities of my 7 1/2 year old amaze me! He's so smart...and handsome...and athletic...and kind....I could go on and on. Why there, you ask? Brian proposed to me on the beach below that Ritz-Carlton. After accepting his PROPOSAL we thought it would be fun to come and stay for our 10 year anniversary. It sounded so far away and figured by then we would be raking in the dough. Unfortunately that "money tree" that was supposed to be huge and full is still a little shrub.

After checking prices on the web we were blown away and very disappointed that two night there would be like paying our mortgage for one month. Can you believe it? I guess we will have to save our pennies and maybe for our 50th anniversary we can go. By that time we probably won't enjoy ourselves as much because we will be OLD.

If you know a way to find cheaper rate on the internet PLEASE, PLEASE let me know.

basketball*time-out*jimmy choos

Austin just finished his first ever basketball season. I think we found HIS sport. He loved getting the ball and once he did he wasn't going to let go of it until he made it to the basket so he could shoot. Actually all the kids wanted the ball so they could do the same thing! It was so fun to watch these 6-7 year olds play ball. Austin was pretty aggressive offensively AND defensively. We need to get this boy his own basketball hoop. It was a fun two months and he is excited to get his trophy at the award ceremony this coming Saturday. Thanks to all the family who planned their trips according to his game schedule. He loved having you there. Oh yeah....I can't forget the best part of every game! After every basket Austin made he would look over to his cheerleading section with the HUGEST smile on his face and a big THUMBS UP sign! Classic Austin. He doesn't love attention does he?

I had to take this picture and include it in my post because it was so sweet. Okay, so the shoes I wore to church today weren't made by Jimmy but a girl can try! While I was making dinner tonight my feet hurt so I took my shoes off and Kaylee decided to try them on. I think every woman has a picture of herself trying on her mom's shoes....it was so fun to have MY DAUGHTER try on my shoes. This was a must have picture! By the way....this girl is now starting to pose for the camera by putting such a HUGE smile on her face (see top picture). He watches parts of it several times a week and dances along during the group dances. He tells me that he is dancing like Twitch (his favorite dancer on the show) and it is hilarious. He rolls around the floor a little, then does some sumersaults and other "creative" moves that I can't describe; you have to see it in person! Here are a few shots of the kids dancing. Tyler and Kaylee try to keep up and they have their own unique style of dance too (not sure what to call it).

I Love the Way You Move...

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/get_player" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"width="320" height="266" bgcolor="#FFFFFF"flashvars="flvurl=http://v22.nonxt7.googlevideo.com/videoplayback?id%3Db40b71fcb98c6588%26itag%3D5%26app%3Dblogger%26ip%3D0.0.0.0%26ipbits%3D0%26expire%3D1331659322%26sparams%3Did,itag,ip,ipbits,expire%26signature%3D6A6A03E5D61DD97C4FD9B37E8C7E18EAC8ED9BDC.58A1A23C25E94A4105E89CD383CB93A62136FC1A%26key%3Dck1&iurl=http://video.google.com/ThumbnailServer2?app%3Dblogger%26contentid%3Db40b71fcb98c6588%26offsetms%3D5000%26itag%3Dw160%26sigh%3DakAp9-BxomJZSos5a_6KiLsUzhs&autoplay=0&ps=blogger"allowFullScreen="true" />

Kaylee has been cruising for a couple months now but she has only started to walk on her own these past two weeks. Austin is in 2nd grade and Tyler started kindergarten! He was so excited to go to school with his big brother. It is so fun to drop them off and see Austin walk Tyler to his classroom. Sometimes Austin even puts his arm around Tyler when they walk. I love it! It is so sweet to see how much they love each other. Both boys are doing well so far and they both have AWESOME teachers. Happy learning!!

Tyler is first in line and ready to start a new year.

The McNamara boys ready for their first day.

Tyler is FIVE

Five days after Kaylee turned ONE Tyler turned FIVE!!
Tyler wanted a "swimming party" so we sent out the invitations and began planning.

Me: "What to you want to serve for lunch?"

Tyler: "Peanut Butter sandwiches"

Me: "What about chicken nuggets? or we can barbecue hamburgers and hot dogs"

Tyler: "No, just peanut butter sandwiches"

His sandwich of choice is only the bread (no crust) and just plain ol' peanut butter. No jam, honey or anything of the sort.

So I decided to make p.b. sandwiches plain, some with jam and then turkey. I had to give the kids a choice.....looking back they probably didn't even care; but I like options!!
A good time was had by all. He received some nice gifts and most of them had to do with Ben 10 (his new favorite show).

Here are just ten things we love about Ty Ty:

1. His gorgeous chocolate brown eyes (and long eyelashes too)
2. His smile....it melts your heart
3. His sense of humor
4. His quirkiness
5. The hugs he gives to just about everyone he meets
6. When it's too quiet in the house and I go searching for Tyler and find him quietly looking at a stack of books
7. When he says "Mommy, I love you" (it's always unsolicited and always genuine)
8. His desire to learn and excitement to start Kindergarten
9. He still likes to sleep with his burp rags (I wash them every once in awhile :))
10. He fits perfectly in the middle....he is a terrific little brother and a great big brother!

My baby is ONE

So I know this post is late, but better late than never!! Kaylee turned ONE on June 22nd. I can't believe she is a year old. I love being Kaylee's mom. She brings so much joy into all of our lives. Her big brothers adore her, she has her daddy wrapped around her little finger and I love having a daughter.

Here are some things that we love about Kaylee:

1. Her curly hair

2. Her amazing smile

3. When she gives open-mouth wet kisses

4. When she waves "bye bye"

5. Her gorgeous blue eyes

6. Her chubby toes & fingers

7. Her infectious laugh

8. The way she sucks her two middle fingers when she's tired

9. When she lets me rock her to sleep

10. Her sweet personality

WE LOVE YOU KAYLEE!! I love the Les Mills classes that Fitness Works offers and have been attending BodyStep & BodyPump for about 2 years (off and on). When I returned to the gym after having Kaylee I began taking BodyAttack and enjoyed the challenge of the class and the upbeat music. I decided to go for it and sign up for the initial training. My friend, Natalie, is a BodyAttack instructor and she gave me some idea of what the training would consist of; but I had NO idea how hard it would be!!!

I showed up at the training on Saturday morning (July 19th) at the Chandler Fitness Works location. When I arrived I recognized a few people from the gym but about half were total strangers. There was a group of 7 or 8 from Tucson, a girl that flew in from Texas and another from Reno. There were 19 of us in all. We started out by getting to know each other a little bit and then started right into the training. Our trainers got us started by teaching us a BodyAttack class (55 minute class) and then we had a technique class, a choreography class and then some more cardio training trying to build up our stamina. That night we left with an assignment to learn one track (a 5 minute routine already choreographed and set to music) that we had to teach the next day. I was exhausted because I didn't sleep much on Friday night (my mind was racing and I was anxious about the training). I watched the DVD they gave us of the class and listened to my track and was wondering how I was going to learn this and be ready to teach it the next day. I called my friend Natalie and she offered to come over and help me. I was very grateful because she had alot of good advice and was very encouraging!

The next day, Sunday (July 20th), we started at 8am and about an hour into the training we got our first chance to teach our track. We then did a circuit training/cardio workout (that was REALLY hard) and then had time to practice our track again for the final assessment. After a few other workshops it was time to teach our track again for a "grade." I did pass the class....WoooHooo!!! and I learned so much about myself. I am so glad that I accomplished this goal I set for myself and now I have three months to learn the whole class (11 five minute tracks) and videotape myself teaching it. Hopefully after that step I will receive a certification to teach.

Now I know why they call it Body Attack!!!!

If you want to learn more go here

Rocky Mountain Reunion

My grandma (Gigi) has lived in Boulder, Colorado for many years and is now in a nursing home there. My siblings and I haven't seen her for several years and so we all decided it would be fun to have a Wilkinson family reunion in Colorado. Everyone flew into Denver on Thursday, June 19th. My parents and brother Matt's family were on the same flight from Vegas. They landed about 20 minutes after we did. The cousins were so excited to see each other. After hugs and kisses in the airport terminal we ate at McDonald's (there wasn't much to choose from). After lunch we all got on the tram (I think that was the highlight of the whole trip for the boy cousins) to baggage claim. We had A LOT of luggage, we were quite a sight. Finally we made it to the shuttle bus so we could pick up our rental cars. After getting our cars we drove to Boulder to see Gigi.

Amanda's family was already there (they arrived in Colorado a few days before we did for Jordan's family reunion). It was great to see Gigi. The last time she saw Tyler he was 2 months old and she had never met Kaylee before. We got to visit with Gigi for several hours that first day. The weather was beautiful so we went outside and let the kids play and climb trees while
the adults talked and shared memories.

Spencer & Ellie climbing trees

Some of the great-grandchildren with Gigi

Gigi & Kaylee

After we left Boulder we drove up to Estes Park (about 45 miles northwest of Boulder) in the Rocky Mountains. It was heaven on earth. So amazingly beautiful. Trees as far as you could see. Clear blue lakes and the weather was perfect (high's in the 70's). We checked into our assigned condos (they were so comfortable and decorated really nice) and settled in. The next day, Friday, we all went fishing. All of the boy cousins were really excited about catching a fish. We went to a stocked trout man-made pond and they had everything there for you....fishing poles, bait, no license needed, etc. We thought this is great....we don't have to pay for anything.....WRONG. For every fish you catch it is $0.95 per inch. Well this place puts huge trout into their pond and don't feed them very often so you can imagine our surprise when the first kid pulls out a 15-17 inch rainbow trout. That is one expensive trout!!! Of course all the kids thought it was awesome to catch such a big fish that they all wanted to do it again; but all the parents put the kabosh on that idea because we were already paying about $15 per fish.

Austin's fish

Tyler's fish

We also did some fabulous hiking.

Here are some other fun pictures of our trip:

Kaylee enjoying her spaghetti dinner!

The cousin's in the hot tub!

The view from our condo. We had a big group (13 of us) and for the most part we were able to stay together and see all of the shows that we wanted to see. Tyler and Austin got to feed fish to the harbor seals and sea lions. They were a little grossed out to touch the fish but after the first one it didn't seem so bad.

Tyler wanted to see the sting rays and the starfish. He even got to hold a starfish. He stills talk about that!!

The Shamu show was a highly anticpated event for the kids (and adults too)! As we were walking into the stadium before the show started one of the trainers came up to Austin and asked him if he wanted to be in the Shamu show. I think all the adults said "YES" before he even got a chance to answer! I don't think Austin had any idea what he was being asked to do. After the show photographer got a photo of Austin and the release forms were signed they had a special place in the stadium just for us. The seats were really good and they were able to accommodate all 13 of us. We couldn't wait for Austin to make his debut!!! About 15 minutes into the show the trainer, Robin, called Austin out of the audience and had him come down by the tank. At this point we were cheering and clapping for our little celebrity. He fed Shamu (actually threw the fish at Shamu, he wasn't about to put his hand anywhere near his mouth), and then was able to touch Shamu's fin. He told us later that it felt slippery, wet and hard. Robin, the trainer, asked Austin who he came to see at Sea World and of course he said "SHAMU!!!" He was able to stay by the tank for the remainder of the show and his picture was up on the big TV screens they had there.
